December 15th Fishing Report
While our fishing reports have not been posted lately the Combo Trips have been fun and productive with limits for everyone. Today we had a 50 50 trip. 50 Dungeness Crab and 50 Rock Fish. We have charters available. Book your Charter now. 831.234.6155
November 18th Fishing Report
Todays charter was more of the same. Crab pots yielded limits of 10 per person by 9sm. Then off to Davenport for limits off to Davenport area for limits of rock fish. We have charters available. Call to book yours.
November 17th Fishing Report
The charter had Dungeness Crab limits by 8am. One pot had 24 beauties. Captain JT then took the clients to the Davenport area where they caught limits of a verity of rock fish. Vermillion were the predominate catch. Call to book your charter. 831.2324.6155
November 10th Fishing Report
We pulled 6 of the 30 pots which yielded 48 crab. One port had 19 beauties. We were done crabbing by 9AM. Captain JT then took the clients to the Davenport area where they caught almost limits of a variety of quality rock fish. The afternoon charter found the ling cod landing 4 nice ones.
November 4th Fishing Report
Yikes. What a great day of fishing and crabbing. Captain JT and Deckhand JP took the clients to 10 of 30 crab pots set yesterday which yielded 47 Dungeness Crab. Yummy. From there they head up the coast where the water was little bumpy but they caught limits of a variety of rock fish and 3 nice ling cod up to 12 pounds. We have combo trips available. October 20th Fishing Report
Today’s charter went catching again today. They fished the Davenport area where the rock cod bite was hot. They caught early limits of a variety of rock fish. After catching limits Captain Ray and Deckhand JP decided to target Ling Cod. The first was too short but the turquoise color got everyone’s interest before tossing back to grow. Next they caught a 14 pound keeper followed by a nice seabass. Mark Shipp caught the seabass it while his Dad and Sister watched the action. Call for booking your charter. October 16th Fishing Report
The fishing trip today was productive catching crew limits of rock fish and 5 nice ling cod up to 15 pounds. They fished near Davenport using herring and live bait. The water was flat calm with no wind. Call to book your charter. 831.234.6155. 
October 10th Fishing Report
Captain JT took the clients to Franklin Point today where they caught limits of a variety quality rock fish and 10 big ling cod up to 16 pounds. They used whole squid live bait and shrimp files. The wind stayed down making the trip comfortable. The whales were out there which provided some entertainment. Thank you Mark and team for the charter. Thanks Don. We have charters available. September 28th Fishing Report
We fished Franklin Point and had a great day of catching. The clients caught a variety of rock fish. They fished in 40-80′ of water using several types of baits. Live bait and shrimp flies were productive for the schollie rock fish. Whole squid on double treble hook was productive for the big vermillion and the ling cod. September 23rd Fishing Report
Today the two charters today caught alot of rock fish consisting of vermillion, blues, blacks, gophers and more. As a matter of fact limits of rock cod to the tune of 120 fish. This morning charter landed 4 nice ling cod. This afternoon the clients caught 2 nice ling cod. As always everyone had fun. You will too. Call to book your charter. September 2nd Fishing Report
Today Chris and family fished locally and caught limits of a variety of quality rock fish. They caught a short ling cod that was put back to grow, landed a nice one and lost a big big one at the boat. Chris headed home to cook a great dinner that included vegetables and fruits he picked up at the fruit stand in Castroville. Talk about fresh and local. Thanks Chris for the charter.
September 1st Fishing Report

Today the charter fished locally with a family from Gilroy. Five of them where kids that had a great time. Captain JT and Deckhand Sean report they love to fish with kids. The say ‘the kids listen and follow instructions’. They had a variety of rock fish and headed home for a BIG dinner. Thanks Andy. We had an afternoon charter. It was a bachelor party here from Oklahoma. Limits again of rock fish. They reported ‘We can fish all day at home and might get a bite’. So when they had 50 fish they were really stoked.

The charter went up the coast for salmon where it paid off. The clients caught nice ones and left happy to head home to for BBQ’s at their various homes. Although sad it was the last salmon trip for 2018 we were glad to end it with some nice ones.

Our customers fished for rock fish this morning off Natural Bridges. They caught limits of a variety of rock fish including blues, olives and blacks. We went on the hunt today looking for Salmon. We went up the coast and fished with no luck. We headed back down to the Soquel Hole with same results. Our full charter agreed we should go for rock fish. Back up to 5 mile. We caught a variety of good quality rock fish including green spotted, white belly, big brown, some BIG reds and 2 lingcod. April 26th, 2018 Fishing Report
The salmon fishing slowed today. We fished the Soquel Hole and caught one nice salmon and lost four. We are taking a day off tomorrow but will have reports for full charters the next 3 days. Watch for updates.

We fished near Mulligans today where the fishing was really active. The customers landed seven nice salmon ranging from 10-20 pounds. We had four shakers and lost three at the boat. We used purple haze hoochies in 200 feet of water. The weather and water was perfect here in the Monterey Bay. The Orca’s put on a show.

Today the customers wanted to fish for rock cod – so we did. They fished near Natural Bridges and caught almost limits of a variety of quality rock fish. The whales put on a show. We fished again at Mulligans where there was a lot of action. We landed 2 nice salmon, lost 4 to hungry sea lions, 2 shakers, and lost 2 at the boat. Bummer about the sea lions. Go Fish Santa Cruz Charters boat the Miss Beth went to dry dock yesterday for a new propeller. Captain JT took her out for a test drive. She can now run at 30 knots. The 30 foot Island Hopper can now get you to the fishing grounds faster than ever. And she is quiet too.

Captain JT and Deckhand JP took the clients north of Santa Cruz to the big reef area. They had early limits of quality rock fish. They hooked six ling cods but had to throw back four as they were too small but had two nice keepers. They headed back downhill and found sea bass. What a great day of fishing. Our repeat customers had early limits of a variety of quality rock fish while being entertained by whales putting on a show. Heading back toward Santa Cruz Deckhand JP noticed the water was suspicious of salmon. They dropped a line and before getting another one in the water – bang fish on! Go Fish Santa Cruz Charters paired up with Bayside Marine for a Blue Fin Tuna trip. Captain Greg from Go Fish Charters and Todd from Bayside Marine headed south toward the big canyon and started seeing jumpers about 9am which continued throughout the day. At 10am they hooked one and lost it. At 10:30 they landed a forty pounder. At 11am they hooked a big one and had it for five minutes before it came off. On the way home they saw foamers at 48/58. The water was tuna colored water. We are hoping they will be around for awhile. We will keep you posted.

Word was out the Blue Fin Tuna were close by. After talking with the clients we went on the tuna hunt for two hours. They were not to be found today. Yikes. What a great day of fishing and crabbing. Captain JT and Deckhand JP took the clients to 10 of 30 crab pots set yesterday which yielded 47 Dungeness Crab. Yummy. From there they head up the coast where the water was little bumpy but they caught limits of a variety of rock fish and 3 nice ling cod up to 12 pounds. We have combo trips available. October 20th Fishing Report
Today’s charter went catching again today. They fished the Davenport area where the rock cod bite was hot. They caught early limits of a variety of rock fish. After catching limits Captain Ray and Deckhand JP decided to target Ling Cod. The first was too short but the turquoise color got everyone’s interest before tossing back to grow. Next they caught a 14 pound keeper followed by a nice seabass. Mark Shipp caught the seabass it while his Dad and Sister watched the action. Call for booking your charter. We fished Franklin Point and had a great day of catching. The clients caught a variety of rock fish. They fished in 40-80′ of water using several types of baits. Live bait and shrimp flies were productive for the schollie rock fish. Whole squid on double treble hook was productive for the big vermillion and the ling cod. Today the charter fished locally with a family from Gilroy. Five of them where kids that had a great time. Captain JT and Deckhand Sean report they love to fish with kids. The charter went up the coast for salmon where it paid off. The clients caught nice ones and left happy to head home to for BBQ’s at their various homes. Although sad it was the last salmon trip for 2018 we were glad to end it with some nice ones.

We went on the hunt today looking for Salmon. We went up the coast and fished with no luck. We headed back down to the Soquel Hole with same results. Our full charter agreed we should go for rock fish. Back up to 5 mile. We caught a variety of good quality rock fish including green spotted, white belly, big brown, some BIG reds and 2 lingcod.
